Why Turkish Walnut?

Turkish walnut is prized for its dark mineral lines, exotic figuring, and hard, dense consistency. It makes excellent gun stocks because of the small pores and great turning properties. The soil, mineral content and environment are unique to the mountainous region in Turkey and some surrounding countries and are responsible for the beautiful qualities found in the grain.
